Charissa Raynor is Executive Director of the SEIU Healthcare NW Training Partnership and Health Benefits Trust – two nonprofits at the forefront of building a qualified, committed home care workforce both in Washington state and nationwide. As a nonprofit school, the Training Partnership is the nation’s largest home care aide training and workforce development provider – training more than 40,000 home care aides annually. Relatedly, the Health Benefits Trust supports a safe and healthy workforce including smartly designed healthcare coverage for more than 15,000 home care aides. Both organizations are sponsored by a labor management partnership including SEIU, the State of Washington, and private industry. Charissa provides overall leadership and strategic direction building on nearly twenty years of working at the intersection of healthcare and workforce development. Charissa holds a Master’s in Health Services Administration from George Washington University and is a Registered Nurse with experience in public health, long-term care, and primary care. She serves on a number of boards and committees including the Washington Health Alliance board of directors, the U.S. Secretary of Labor’s Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship, and the Seattle Economic Commission.
